Many of you have probably heard about the AMAZING Staci Perry of VeryPink.com.  Well, Staci has a special place in my heart.  She is the person who taught me how to knit!  Staci’s patterns and video tutorials are some the best available and the easiest for me to work with.  I am always going to VeryPink.com when I need to learn a new technique or am looking for a cool pattern.

Well, late last Spring, Staci approached me about the idea of doing a joint video tutorial.  She wanted to create a video for a new sweater pattern she had designed and then work with me to create a tutorial for hand dyeing the finished garment!  That’s right, not dyeing the yarn, but actually the finished garment after it’s been knit!

I was totally in!  After doing a test swatch together to make sure it would work, she and her team came over to our garage studio (outdoors) on a hot summer day and we filmed the entire tutorial.  Now after some additional work and editing on Staci and her team’s side, it’s available for you to see today!!

I have to say it’s quite possibly one of the things I’m proudest of that I have done in my fiber journey.  I am and have always been a teacher at heart.  To be able to share very practical tips and techniques to help you replicate this technique at home absolutely thrills me.  I couldn’t be happier!  I hope you enjoy it!

So I encourage you to consider purchasing this beautiful pattern and some of your favorite sock, fingering, or sport weight yarn to create this beautiful sweater.   Who knows, maybe White Bear will have some natural yarns in the next week you can use for just this purpose!

And now, here is the link to the Pattern and the Videos!
