Dye Your Own with White Bear Fibers
Want to create a yarn as unique as you are?
Would you like to learn how to dye your own yarn without having to worry about the investment and the mess?
We have put together an informative, interactive, and hands-on 2 hour workshop that will provide you with the training, coaching, and supplies (excluding yarn) to dye up to 2 skeins of yarn. You will get to play with color and fiber and learn from Austin-based Hand Dyer, Doug Upchurch of White Bear Fibers.
We have over 40+ colors of acid dyes for you to mix and match to create your perfect color combination. It’s like a workshop and private dye studio coaching all rolled into one. No experience is required and it’s a lot of fun!
Cost: $30 per session (This does not include yarn, which can be purchased separately at the workshop, or you may bring your own un-dyed yarn)
If you want to dye more, there is an additional $5 charge per 3.5 oz. skein. There is a maximum of 4 skeins per person per session.
IMPORTANT: Please be prepared to purchase and/or bring your yarn to the store before the day of class. It will need to be soaked ahead of time to maximize your time spent on the dying process.
